Snoopy's Backlot Cafe

Challenge

The art director of the park had assigned me to come up with a new style that matched the architecture & theming of the Snoopy's Backlot Cafe.

My Solutions

1) Use the official Peanuts colors that matched the restaurant interior

2) Pick the style of fonts used in comics since Peanuts is originally a comic strip

3) Utilize new elements like thought bubbles that are seen in a comic strip

要望

当時使用されていた印刷物のデザインを一新し、IPのテーマとインテリアと合った新しいスタイルを確立したい、という要望をいただきました。

提案

よりテーマに合った、スヌーピーらしいデザインを制作するために、下記点を念頭に新しいスタイルの提案をしました。

１．ピーナッツの正式なスタイルガイドに載っていて、なおかつレストランで使用されているカラーのみを使用しました。

２．ピーナッツは元々新聞に掲載されているコミックなので、コミックでよく使用されているフォントを選びました。

３．値段や情報を整理するのに、コミックで使われている、ふきだしを使用し、背景にトーンのパターンを配置し、コミックと結びつけました。
